Rhinehart Finishing Expands

Rhinhart Finishing Expands, Spencerville based Company Lands Government Contract

Auburn, Indiana (July 7, 2009) - Rhinehart Finishing broke ground for a 22,500 square foot addition to their existing facility near Spencerville, Indiana. The immediate purpose is to support the shipping, receiving and warehousing of a significant new segment of defense related business that includes aerospace and heavy military trucks. The addition will eventually house future production.

"Rhinehart Finishing expects to invest over $1 million and add up to 10 employees within the next 18 months" commented Phil Rhinehart, owner.

John R. Rhinehart began the family-owned company by creating Calf-Teria Inc. in 1945 in order to manufacture a patented calf feeder pail. Rhilip R. Rhinehart, owner and president, has carried on his father's legacy by continually diversifying, adding new products and services.

This expansion will allow Rhinehart to retain the present employees base of 111 full and part time employees. This is the third expansion since the company started in 2001 with 12 employees. Currently Rhinehart has over 120,000 square feet dedicated to development, production and warehousing.

Russ Felderman, CEO of Felderman Design-Build said, "We are pleased to be selected by Rhinehart Finishing for this recent expansion. Assisting a healthy, successful company grow is our business."
